Troubleshooting magnetic door lock

This article provides a step-by-step guide to troubleshooting problems with a magnetic door lock that works with cards or QR codes, including checking the card, power supply, fuses, and internet connection.

1) Try another card/QR code

If the problem only occurs for certain users, this is usually due to a setting in the membership management software. Does the problem occur multiple times for different users? Go to step 2.

2) Check the power supply

Check whether the lights on the scanner are on.

Yes: the lock has power, proceed to step 3.

No: the lock is not receiving power: check whether the fuses are switched on. If not, switch them on (only if you know which fuse is for the lock).

  • Fuse blows immediately: please contact us.
  • Scanner does not light up: please contact us.
  • Scanner lights up, but the lock does not work: proceed to the next step.

3) Check the internet

3a) Is the network/internet cable properly connected?

Check this where the cable leaves (modem, switch, wall socket, etc.) and on our module where the cable arrives. Disconnect the cable at both ends, then reconnect it. Disconnect the power by unplugging our module. Wait 30 seconds, plug it back in, and test again after 1 minute. If this does not work, proceed to step 3b.

3b) Go to https://www.clubplanner.be/ using a computer that is on the same network as the module. Does this work?

Yes: please contact us.

No: check whether you can browse other sites.

Does this not work either? There is no internet available at your location. Please contact your network provider (Proximus, Telenet, etc.) or network administrator.

Does this work? Please ask your network administrator to check why our site (https://www.clubplanner.be/) is not accessible from your location.
