What do you need to know before activating the SMS functionality in Club Planner?

Club Planner's SMS functionality allows you to easily send messages to your members. Below you can read what you need to know.

  • Connection with Proximus: In order to send text messages, a connection with Proximus must first be activated.

  • Sender number: Text messages are always sent from a random 4-digit number (e.g. 8866).
  • Costs: Each message sent will be charged at €0.10 excluding VAT.
  • Number of characters: An SMS can contain up to 160 characters (letters, numbers, and symbols).
    - When using emojis, this maximum drops to 70 characters per SMS.
    - If you exceed the maximum, the SMS will be split into multiple messages, which will increase the cost.
     

How do you activate the SMS functionality?

Follow these steps to enable SMS functionality.

  1. Request via email: Would you like to use the SMS functionality? Please send an email to support@clubplanner.be. 
  2. Receive the API key: you will receive an API key from us.
  3. Enter API Key: To do this, go to ‘Settings’ - ‘Integrations’ - ‘Proximus Settings’ and enter the API key there.
  4. Ready to use: Once the API key has been entered, the SMS functionality is fully active and you can immediately start sending messages to your members.
