eGym Wellpass

What is eGym Wellpass?

eGym Wellpass is a B2B network for corporate fitness ("corporate wellness"), operated by EGYM (a fitness technology company based in Munich). An employer signs a contract with EGYM and co-finances a single monthly membership for its employees. With that one membership, each employee gains access to a large, shared network of independent clubs, studios, swimming pools, spas, climbing gyms and online partners — instead of a contract with one specific club.

Important to know: this is not a device or software that you purchase as a club. Wellpass is an external member-acquisition channel. You can become a partner without owning any EGYM equipment, and vice versa. So don't confuse it with EGYM's connected-equipment products (Smart Strength, Fitness Hub, EGYM Cloud …) — those are about how members train; Wellpass is about how your club brings in new members.

For the Belgian and French markets, Gymlib and eGym Wellpass are the same network under a new name: EGYM acquired the French company Gymlib in April 2022. In the app stores, the app is still called 'Wellpass (ex Gymlib)'. In Belgium/France, EGYM advertises 6,500+ partner clubs and 300+ activities; named customers include Proximus, Telenet, Deloitte, Danone and Capgemini, with Belgian partner locations such as JIMS and L'Usine.

What can eGym Wellpass do for my club?

For you, Wellpass is a channel for additional member inflow: corporate members who might otherwise not join your club. EGYM reports (based on its own US figures) that roughly 77% of Wellpass users did not have a club membership beforehand — so it is largely about additional visits, not cannibalisation of your existing members.

  • Free to join: according to EGYM, there are no registration, listing or other fees to become a partner.
  • EGYM does the commercial work: sales, marketing, administration and member acquisition at companies. You mainly maintain your studio profile and accept the check-ins.
  • Compensation per visit (pay-per-use), not a share of a fixed subscription. A maximum of one check-in per member per day counts towards the compensation.
  • Monthly payout: you track check-ins and download payment overviews in EGYM's online partner portal (sign in with your partner credentials).
  • Broad network: one membership covers full-service clubs, boutique studios, yoga, swimming pools, climbing/bouldering, boxing, cycling, spa/wellness and digital partners.

A member checks in on arrival in one of two possible ways:

How do I set up eGym Wellpass?

To be honest: Club Planner / MyClubPlanner currently has no ready-made, direct integration with eGym Wellpass. You arrange the partnership directly with EGYM. In practice, you go through these steps:

  1. Become a partner with EGYM: submit your application via the partner form on EGYM's website. The EGYM team will then get in touch with you. Joining is free.
  2. Create your studio profile and enable reservations/check-in as EGYM instructs.
  3. Arrange check-in at the front desk: the simplest way to start is with the QR code that EGYM emails you — you display it, and members scan it with the Wellpass app. Want to explore automated check-in via your club software later on? Discuss it with Club Planner support; that integration is not part of Club Planner by default today.
  4. Follow-up and payout: track your check-ins and download your payment overviews in EGYM's online partner portal. The monthly payout appears there once the settlement is finalised.

Requirements: an approved partner contract with EGYM and an active studio profile. You do not need any EGYM equipment to take part in the Wellpass network.

Invoicing and Peppol: partner payouts run via the monthly overview and EGYM's portal. Note the Belgian obligation regarding structured electronic B2B invoicing via the Peppol network, which has applied since 1 January 2026 for domestic B2B transactions. Therefore, coordinate with both EGYM and your accountant on exactly how the Wellpass payout is invoiced. (This is general Belgian context: there is no EGYM source that specifically links Wellpass to Peppol.)

Data (GDPR): EGYM manages the members' identity. As a club, you see the check-ins, not the employee's full HR data. If you do set up a software integration later, check exactly which member data is exchanged. For specific security or certification details, it's best to request confirmation directly from EGYM.
